Chilton Allerton Condominium Association Board of Managers

The Chilton Allerton Condominium Association Board of Managers is a volunteer board comprised of unit owners elected by a majority of owners to oversee the financial and operational functions of the Chilton Allerton Condominium Association, including the maintenance and preservation of the common property, the annual operations and reserve budgets, setting condominium fees and unit modifications. The Board of Managers operates in compliance with the Association's Master Deed, By-Laws and Rules and Regulations. Working closely with the CJManagement property manager and staff, the Board makes decisions regarding the maintenance and preservation of common property and upholding and enforcing association policies for the mutual benefit of all unit owners.

Board member terms are staggered and each board member serves for a term of three years.  When a board member's term expires an election to re-elect the member or elect a new member is held at the Chilton Allerton Annual Condominium Association meeting.  All Association members have an opportunity to participate in governing the Association by volunteering to become a Board member as positions become available.

If you have questions about the operations or policies of the Chilton Allerton Condominium Association, please contact the CJ Property Management office at 508 896-2345.

The Basics of Condominium Ownership & Maintenance

If you have never owned a condominium before, some general information will help you understand the basics. The difference between standard homeowner ownership and condominium ownership is Common Area, which is defined as the area outside of the sheetrock walls in your unit. It is important to understand this distinction when requesting maintenance or preparing for renovations or updates.

For instance, the Association is not responsible for maintenance inside your unit, only the exterior. This also means you cannot change or add to the exterior of your unit without permission from the Board of Managers. The only exception to ownership, according to our documents, is the windows and doors, which belong to unit owners. However, ALL windows and doors must conform to Association standards.
